Sam's Garage

"thumbsup""thumbsup" Big thankyou to everyone.

"Hey can you guys help me move this Saturday?.......

I don't even have that much stuff..........

We'll make a day of it!"

And you can tell by the background here how long ago I built this...

Ahh the clutter is back......I feel much better now!

Big thankyou to Reddevildemo and 30percent for providing some of the box templates. "thumbsup"

Thankyou very much.

So while Sam was away for the weekend in Cupcake Bliss City, his good friend Dexter asked if he could use the garage space.

He wasn't too big on the details, but he sure did keep the place clean!.........

(Sorry to those of you who may not be familiar with Dex's work and do not get the joke. Lets just say he had a killer of a time!)

The Dexter set up is dead on! Great work & imagination & skill !"thumbsup"

Thankyou very much everyone.

Here's whats been happening lately......

and then.....

and now my head hurts!

Hot of the workbench tonight. Had some help from a friendly little polar bear to make for a toasty Friday night in my tiny little room.......mmmmm....toasty!

Sam is planning on documenting his future garage activities and needs the right gear.

I honestly can't believe how well this is all going. Something has to go wrong soon surely!

Such an awesome build!

I'm looking to build some small cardboard boxes for my garage.

What did you use for yours and how do I go about making them? Are yours all one piece just folded into a box?

Thanks everyone for your comments.

For the boxes i mostly used cereal boxes. I just found whatever had the right texture and tone for my liking. Yes they are just cut from one piece and folded and taped. Check 30percent's thread in this section for some cool templates that i used for some of them.

Yeah, they were the right size for this project anyway!

Thanks guys.

Camera is done.

....And what you got going on here Sam?

More unpacking happening......

Anyhoo...as the unpacking continues, Sam can now finally start using this garage for what it was meant for....MANTOYS!!!! MWAHAHAHAHA.

And as Sam teased us with earlier....what's any story without a love interest?

Meet Chell.

She's got a bit of a tragic backstory, being held prisoner in a secret underground scientific testing facility where her only friend was a bumbling little robot named Wheatley who haphazardly guided her through an escape using a Portal Gun from the evil artificial intelligence named Glados who had taken over the facility only to have Wheatley double-cross her and hijack Glados' mainframe, turning him into a seemingly unstoppable yet equally incompetent super computer, finally defeating him by shooting him out into space with said Portal Gun................(the game: Portal 2).

Got that?!!!

Anyway, she's brought along a little housewarming gift. As they say, the way to a man's heart is through his...........tool shed!!

Look at his expression....isn't he just over the moon!!!

Just in time too. Sam's moving parts in to start a project......

I didn't take any pics of the chassis stand getting build, but it's just a simple styrene frame. Base coat is flat black and drybrushed with gunmetal, same used to whether the oxy tanks and trolley.

Awww....a match made in heavan!

holy mother of god.........:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:
