I just bought this savox 0251 mg, put it in my losi night crawler (stock motor and esc) ran it for about 10 min and it started glitching and cutting out the servo did get warm also so I t:cry:urned it off and now it will no:cry::xt come back on. What is going on????? Please help

I know nothing about Losi ESC's, but it likely can't handle the extra power the Savox needs to operate. You may have to add a BEC.

I also tried it out in my novak goat 3s with external bec set a 7 volts and with that servo plugged in the novak it causes all the esc leds to start flickering then the savox starts to twitch then the novak just shuts off, but it will restart. ???????

Sounds like the servo is having issues.

Based on this.... Savox SC0251MG Digital Servo it's "just over" my 200inoz limit for use on an internal ESC BEC. I don't think it's your issue (overloading the BEC).
Really sounds like the servo is failing based on your comments and other Savox failures.

Can you/did you set the steering EPA's? If you didn't, stalling a servo can cause issues even with an external BEC.
Is the steering binding? This can also overload the servo power.

What radio?
In the 2nd test, was the BEC direct to the servo or through the RX?

how hot did the servo get? cant touch it hot or just fingerwarm.

anyways like solitare says u need a BEC. or bigger bec

i run 2 Savöx 1256 20kg digital and they need 5Amp each.
im running ccbecs at 10amps

and remember to ground the cable to ur esc. (edit not ESC but Rx)
signal and groundcable to esc or they will glitch a lot (edit not ESC but Rx)
so solder the cut off negative cable on to ur BECs powersource

hope it helps

The servo didn't get crazy hot bit warm to the touch. So I e mailed savox customer service to see what they can do cuz this servo is only 20 minutes old, plus savox said it has a 1 year warranty. I think I may have just gotten a bad one.

I have two of these and they are both run off Bec. I tried to run one on my mini pro and it would stall out , put in a bec set at 6v and no more problems.

I blew a gear in a savox servo and returned it to my LHS where I bought it. They swapped it for a brand new one from their display case, no questions asked, and I was on my way.
