Scale rally racing...!

With these mods, would the TT01 stand up to some pretty good abuse (vxl)? I have an extra vxl system laying around, so what the heck?! And the TT01ES chassis set can be had for $115...

I would add upgraded outdrives and universals. BL power is rough on the stock plastic parts. Parts for the TT are very well priced.

Here's my Rally...TT01 (older style) with some upgrades. Have since switched to Mamba/5700 and it's holding up well.

Have a DF03 as well, but it is set up for street use. Prefer the gear diffs and stouter driveline (once upgraded) of the TT.

Here's a short video of my 1/5 scale MCD RallyCross car.

Awesome glad I finally got to see it on the dirt.

So what do you think of it on the loose stuff?

Looked like it was handling pretty well.

It is a fawking blast in the loose stuff! It handles fairly good, I would like to get a little more travel out of the suspension though.

It's the stock body on the MCD Rally car.

Took a few minutes to check it out tonight. Pretty cool Rally Platform. At first glance earlier today, I thought it was something you made out of a 5b/t/sc. Does anyone else have one around here yet?

And that loctation in video looks perfect for a rally race!

Yep I think 4 guys with the Rally now, although I'm the only one with a dirt version. Here's what we do with the onroad versions.

Drifting my MCD X4 Rally at the RAMS track on a practice day. After they sprayed traction compound on the track it was difficult to drift because the traction was so uneven. I ended up just trying to keep up with the Baja's trying not to spin out coming into the corners since my rear tires were bald.

Nice! I didn't even know Rams were running 1/5 scale now. I guess I'll have to go check it out next time. I haven't been there since my buddy was racing 1/8 on road about 5 yrs ago.

Too bad we lost Bayside R/C Club because we could've made the old second track into an off road rally track. It was pretty much one anyway with the hardpack and banked berms. I miss tearing that track up with my old losi 8t with some badlands on it!
