screamin II

Thanks for the pics. I appreciate it. I hope to get some time in tomorrow to test that steering setup.

Sorry it took so long I spent the weekend out of town riding ATV 's , this is me with my Can Am Outlander during my trip.

If you need better pic's Bulldog just let me know. I know my interior and electronics install was a little ghetto but I just wanted to hurry to get it running. I plan to make it better down the road but for now I just want to have fun with it. And your steering setup is nice, can't wait to see how it comes out.

Nice pics...It makes me jealous....I haven't ridden a quad in many years! As for the steering setup, I hit a wall. After getting it all mounted perfectly, I found a serious flaw. There is the smallest amount of slop in the rc4wd cvds...barely noticeable when you twist them in your hands. That slop equals almost a 1/4" of play once the servo horns are attached. I'm LIVID! I was going to post pics, but I'm playing with plan B and C and may revisit it if they don't work using axial universal shafts. DAMMIT! I should have an update tomorrow.

Riding quads is a blast, it's something I'll probably do till I'm 80. The area I was riding was in middle / southern ish Ohio. Most people probably wouldn't think we have that kind of terrain either. Anyway how your steering works out, I've been dabbling with something myself today. When I get it squared away I'll drop you a line.

I have enjoyed the build and pics of your buggy."thumbsup" You did a great job. Would love to see a video of it at the spot you were at in the pic.

Can't wait to see what you do next.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I wish I could've taken my rig up that hill, along with a few others. And a video will be in the works, I need to get a new motor/esc and a steering sevo and make up some steering links and I'll be set. Should be at least by the end of July if not sooner.

I stumbled across a few more options today using the vp cms kit and some bent links working off rear mounted ackerman arms. I'm getting close. I'd post up pics on my thread, but I want to get it working first. The biggest issue is bump steer with a cms setup. Most guys don't realize they have it and boast about their cms working fine. I want it perfect. I'll keep you posted as well."thumbsup"

Thanks, I have been into RC for about 13 years but this was honesty my first time brazing or making a chassis. I do have another 1.9 Jeep jk I might post but I don't have any build progress pics.

For ur 1st time brazing and building a tube frame. Its just amazing looking rig you have there

Well I finally got some video of my rig, it's not the best quality though using my Droid. X . If played on HQ on YouTube it looks better. Coming this winter I plan to make some changes to the rig and plan to get a Go Pro camera and I'll post my updates and some good quality vids that last longer than 30 seconds.

'Bout time! Nice to see the rig in action. In the next videos you take, put the camera on the ground and get up real close to the action, you'll be amazed at how realistic the rig will look. Also, if you have any editing software, try slowing the action down by 1/4 or 1/2. "thumbsup"

Thanks, it's kinda funny because other than a few practice pieces I only made the chassis, but now I just want to make all kinds of stuff like bumpers for my New Bright Jeep and a trailer for it to hall my buggy. It's a little addicting!

My Droid X is my do all tool. It's my only source for internet and as a camera. Next time I post a vid though I'll try to get lower and closer to the action. I just can't wait to get my Go Pro camera, and have it mounted on a pole so someone can do a up close & chase my rig for some awesome shots.

watched all 4 vids. Not only does it look good but it also crawls excellent!!

Thanks, the videos don't do it any justice though. I had mud packed on the rear tires and wasn't getting any grip on the rocks ,because I never have problems usually.

I don't know what it is about rigs on a table...but I LOVE it! Nice bunch of toys there! "thumbsup"
