Hey everyone, I just picked up a AX-3 2.4 ghz Transmitter/receiver for my Honcho. Its my first time messing around with 2.4
I like it!! :)
I was wondering if anyone can recall where the antenna was routed/placed when they first opened the reciever box with there rtr axials?
I want to put my antenna were its ment to go.
Thanks everyone!

.....Or does it not make a difference with 2.4? Can I wrap it around the motor!? lol .....could you?

You don't have to put the antenna in the stock location. The 2.4 radio systems have short antennas anyway. My antenna is only about 4" long and doesn't even extend outside of the body at all.

Mine was in the short antenna tube but it just went up into the cab instead of out the hole in the hood. But now it is just wrapped around the inside of the project box that houses the rx and LED controller. I can drive it as far away as I can see what I'm doing with any glitching or anything like that.
Using the 2.4 you can really put it about anywhere you want. Personally, I wouldn't cut it though.

i have the 2.4ghz in my ax10 and mine just balled up beside the receiver and have no prolems. i dont like the look of the antenna sticking out out of the rig even on my savage it looks "tacky" to me.

you can route it anywhere you want as long its not getting caught up in spur gears, driveshafts etc.. and dont cut it.
