Maybe i have not looked hard enough, but i cant seem to find a clear answer on this. But will the new sxc10ii parts for the original? I have been doing research on upgrade parts for the scx10 but if they will cross fit then i will just wait for sxc10ii parts to start coming out and i guess do a conversion in a way.

im following this with keen interest, From what ive herd tho yuo can use the two speed tranmission from the scx 2 in the orignal

I have heard the same thing. From what i have seen the 2 speed only comes in the sxcii kit. The rtr come with the same tranny as the original so i dont see why that would be an issue.

As it was said in the private release, all the parts are cross compatible. I have just put the new VP Rock Jock Curries on my SCX-10 rig. It wasn't real easy but I finally got it.

As far as the 2 speed trans it has a specified skid plate. Both the 2 speed trans skid and the stock V1 trans skid come in the SCX-10 II kit.

Actually the V1 trans skid in the SCX10.2 kit is slightly different than an old V1 skid. The tranmission mounting holes have moved by a couple of mm and the upper link mounts are now double captured.

I would have done the transformation to newer axles long time ago if I knew where to get all the pieces. As far as I know the gear set from Axial has yet to be released after more than 6 months on the market, and there's no known aftermarket suply either... The other bits and pieces can be bought.

Man those axels look good. I was looking at those last night. Thank you for the info. Nice looking rig. I think i saw the 2 speed kit on the VP website last night though. I could be wrong.

I found them on Fleabay. onetoomanyrcs is selling them with a new locker for about 35.00 per set. The machining looks great, the tolerances are a little tight, but overall I think they will be really good. I have yet to put any stress on them, so I can't say how they perform......yet.

Try this to find them, i hope it works. it took about a week to actually ship but i had them 3 days later with expedited shipping.

Thanks, I believe you were seeing is the Atlas transfer case. If VP keeps producing amazing quality products, I'll always be a fan. I couldn't wait the 2 weeks they are claiming for their knuckles, so I went with SSD's knuckles. I'm glad I did. Another great product, and it let me bring in the track width in. I went from the 475 hubs to the 225.
