scx24 ball stud options

I broke a ball stud for one of the shocks, purchased a new Injora axle housing set, not thinking about the a new ball stud, Axial does not list these parts as being separately sold. What are some good options for upgrading?

thanks

All Horizon Hobby owned brands maintain part numbers internally for almost all parts. Granted, there are a number of 'exceptions'...but, with many "parts groups" sold under a single part number, many of those individual parts can be purchased separately. The way to find out if the part in question (or any individual part that is normally part of a "parts group") is available separately is to contact Horizon Hobby Support.

Now, here's where things might get a little 'tricky'. Because of the pandemic, Horizon Hobby has suspended phone support for incoming calls. Prior to the pandemic, I would just call, explain the situation, they'd figure out if the part was available individually...and, if so, an order for the individual part would be placed (and, if not individually available, you'd either have to order the "parts group", or they might help you find an 'alternative'). Unfortunately, right now, the only 'incoming' support options are via email (submitted through the support page), or online chat (which isn't always available).

There is a "plus" side to this - if they determine that super is needed to be provided over the phone, them they will call you. The reason (which should be obvious) incoming phone support has been suspended, and went outgoing phone support is extremely limited, is due to a personnel shortage (as is the case with many companies). You do have one other option: measure the ball stud in question (as the vehicle will have others of the same part), sand figure out who else has ball studs of that same sizing.

Thanks! I will shoot them an email. I have built 4 Axial kits before and always had reference numbers for every screw, bolt, nut or part for the chassis.... Now knowing this I should have contacted them last week when I ruined my 1/10 C10 body in the painting process, instead of ordering a complete $80 body set...

Thank You!

Write ball stud in google and check it out.

I did and thats why I asked on here. I could find no reference to SCX24 Ball Studs with out buying a complete axle, I also looked at aftermarket shocks that included pressed in ball studs, but most of them I looked at did not make reference to the screw/pitch for the included hardware. I looked at the ball/O-ring upgrade but non of those included screws. I found some threaded ball studs on line for another 1/24 scale chassis from China, but once again they did not list the screw size. Now I have figured out its a 1.4mm screw. Now just need to figure out screw length

Ok, my bad. I thought it would be easy to find those. I actually broke one of mine quite early, when I changed shock positions all the time, but after that one broke, I decided it was time for an update.

I found a set of Gladiator rear shocks with ballstuds on ebay. Springs are stiffer than the C10, but that's fine toss them in the parts bin if my son adds weight to the frame

....though I shouldn't just assume the stud broke from the ball stud , is it a possibility to drill a hole through the hex side of the ball stud and reuse that ball stud?..... ( yes , you'll eventually have to find a screw for it ) -greg
