Hello everyone, looking for a little help. I'm an off the shelf builder not really a fabricator. I'm finally modding my C10. It's only taken me a year.

One thing I wanted to improve was the approach angle. I wanted to raise the front bumper. I flipped the front bumper mount and trimmed the body. I adjusted the front body posts and it's still not tall enough to let the body be pinned.

The rear body hinge does not allow any adjustment that I can see. So effectively my C10 is going to have a Cali lean look.

Wondering what people have done to solve this. I understand raising the body changes the center of gravity. Fully aware, but I've added enough weight down low to offset the little bit I want to raise the body.

You could scrap the hinge and use an additional set of body mounts in the rear shock towers to mount thru the bed, or you could fab a simple Velcro mount for the rear towers, either would work.

You could completely scrap the rear hinge, as well as the front mounts, and replace them with a magnetic body mount.

You can find the magnetic body mounts online. I ordered mine through eBay, but I've also seen similar ones available through other online delays, including Amazon. Search, and you will find...the parts are out there.

I ordered a couple things. I'll see what I come up with. I saw one picture via google image search but no details. It looked like the some one used brake line tubing possible? And bent a "U" shape. Turned it upside down and and into the the body posts mounts. Then wrapped the bottom of the "U" with velcro and another piece on the body. I just can't find what material was used.

What is keeping the body front end from coming down? Maybe a little more trimming is required. I used velcro on one of my SCX24's front mount to hold the body down and eliminate the pin. I glued small pieces to the mount tower and to the underside of the body. Works well.
