So many creative and mechanical people, I figure someone must of tried, seen or made an rc car device that will put the car back on its wheels when it flips over.

So how about it, show us your self righting car projects. "thumbsup"

The only non-ridiculous reason I can think for a self-righting mechanism to exist is for use by people with mobility problems.

Crawlers are not that far away from the driver at any point and bashers run on flat-ish ground. If the person cannot reach over and flip the car/truck, they were probably driven/escorted to wherever it is they were using their r/cs.

I can see how someone might think it will be cool to have your rc do such a thing, but is it really worth the hassle/higher CoG/one more thing to break? My money is on whoever made it (if anyone), used it once then took it off.

*All of the above is MHO.

If you are by yourself at the local race track, it becomes a royal pain in the behind getting down and around the driving platform, hopping through the course to get to your car, flip it then going all the way up to the platform again.

A well made, designed car righting mechanism would sell TONS to most of the casual RC guys I know. Not the crawler guys of course. :)

My 3yr old cousin helps me whenever I'm driving.. Sometimes too much when crawling though:lol:

Just keep the rubber down and you don't have to worry about it."thumbsup"

Also it would just add weight and moving parts to break.
