What are all of the options available for sensored brushless esc for use in a crawler? Is there anything that stands out as the best overall, or best bang for the buck?

I know of the novak offerings (it seems people don't like them all that much though), and I'm pretty sure the mamba max pro can be adjusted to suit crawling. How about the tekin rs? It is programmable like the mamba, so I assume it can be used for crawling. Anything else out there worth using in a crawler? Maybe something a little cheaper? :)

The esc's i'd consider is these (go in order)

Tekin RS (nice and small)
Mamba Max Pro (big, but a great esc)
Losi Xcelorin (its decent)

Also unless your looking to buy now Holmes Hobbies/ Holmes Motion Control is developing a brushless esc. From the info i've gathered, it'll be smaller than the BR-XL and it'll be sensored. Knowing HH/HMC i'm sure it'll be top notch in quality and features.

But there's no release date and JRH just drops us little bits every now and then.

Good info guys. I was thinking about going brushless, but I decided to go with brushed (for now), its a bit cheaper. I did play around with brushless a bit using one of my escs from my touring car and a 21.5t motor. It worked great except there was a couple second delay between fwd and rev, which was really really annoying. FYI, boost plus the super high gear ratio of a crawler equals a motor that freaking screams.

Still interested in info for future reference, if anyone has anything else to bring up!
