I've looked through a lot of this forum today and decided to post my rides.

I started off with a DF03ra about 2yrs ago. I liked the versatility of it. The ride height is better than a standard TC, so it was perfect for what I wanted to do with it, which was bash around in parking lots and use it in the dirt. I used the longer shock ends for this chassis.

My DF03ra is powered by a Castle Sidewinder V2 5700kv combo. I have added an aluminum steering rod, aluminum heat sink bars, aluminum motor plate, TRF shocks, slipper clutch, light kit, and a buggy body as a chassis cover. I plan on adding a blue aluminum drive shafts, blue aluminum bevel shafts, blue aluminum battery door pin, CVD's, Savox servo and possibly a few other parts. I kept this body plain, just for a different look.

Here are some pics of the DF-03RA:

About 2 weeks ago, I was looking around and saw the XV-01 Pro on the Tamiya website. I have been thinking about ordering it for awhile and finally decided to pull the trigger.

My XV-01 Pro is also powered by a Castle Sidewinder V2 5700kv combo. The only things I added to the XV-01 so far are the reinforced belt and a Savox servo. I bought them with the kit and put them in during the build. I also bought the slipper clutch, but haven't installed it yet. I want to get a few upgrades for this already, such as aluminum pulleys and a light kit. I used the shorter shocks ends for this, but will eventually add the longer ones. I have a few different set of tires/rims for both cars. I did this body with all stickers, but I didn't paint it according to the manual. I just sprayed the whole thing metallic blue and added the rear wing.

Let me know what you guys think!!

Yes!!! I am digging the return of 1/10 true to scale rallying!!! Not that Traxxas mumbo jumbo!

Looks great man! Glad you posted the offset of those TE-37's. They are exactly what I want for my XV01 and was debating 3mm or 6mm.

nice... but the XV-01 looks too clean though.. I'm just saying..
mine's are not so clean anymore
Yea, haven't had a chance to get it dirty yet!

Haha I have one of those too, might sell it.

No problem. The 6mm ones fit really nice!

Love that color! Do you have the brand and name of that color?
The XV01's color? It's Pactra True Blue Pearl. I'm not crazy about their paints, but I got this one for nothing!

The one thing I hate about the DF-03Ra is the freaking battery tray. I used to be able to fit a crappy 4000mah 2s rounded pack into it but the wires eventually started fraying after a few runs so I used liquid electrical tape. The last thing I need is for the lipo to short in my car. So I'm in the process of figuring out how to fit my hard case Gens Ace 5000mah 40C packs I use in my 1/10 buggies and SCT's. It's the inside ridges of the actual battery plate that prevents it from properly closing.

I have already dremeled out as much as I can so I can run the battery plugs up through the chassis and away from the drive shaft. If I dremel away and sand down the 4 ridges on the actual battery plate itself this will obviously cause some issues:

1). Although the hardcase ROAR 5000mah 2s pack will be secured I cannot rely on the battery housing as a means of support if those extra ridges around the battery plate are for bottom chassis rigidity support.

2). Dremel away the ridges and use thin foam around all 4 corners of the battery plate. This is assuming the ridges were designed in the first place as a means to hold the battery fixed and not for any lower chassis support.

Thoughts? Or what mods have yall done to fit hardcase 2s packs into your DF-03Ra's? And is the new XV-01 just as annoying with hardcase lipos?

The XV-01 battery is protected inside the chassis.

It has a under the chassis battery door that you access to load the battery.

I don't have any issues with my DF03ra as far as fitting batteries. I usually run my Venom 2s 5000mah 40c packs in it. I occasionally run a slim 3s pack, which is the same thickness as a 2s pack.

I do have some problems fitting batteries in my XV01 though. It's mainly due to the wires being so long. I have my ESC wires tucked into the box as much as I can, only my Deans connector is in my battery tray. Maybe I will just shorten my battery wires a bit.
