Servo amp draw too much for CCBEC?

I hav e a JR 8711 for steering and a Hitec 645 for dig. The CC BEC is set to 6volts. Does anyone know how much draw those 8711s take, can
t find info.11.1V 3s if it matters
It seems the servo takes so much amperage the BEC stops for a sec and everything shuts down. If I remove the 645 everything works fine and vice versa. I bought the CCBEC to run 2 servos. Obviously it isn't doing the job with the JR.
Castle said to set the BEC at 4.8 volts and that should reduce the draw enough to work. That will totally make the dig servo suck(107oz) but give the JR the same torque at 4.8 (333oz) as a Hitec 5955TG at 6volts.

The JR just seems to have sooo much draw. It's not too late to return it and get a Hitec 5955TG (?) for about 30 bucks less. I have heard they have a considerably lower amp draw than the JR's and then the dig servo wouldn't suck. Is that right?
Any opinions or options?

Run 2 CCBEC's, then you still get the killer power of the 8711, and everything is happy. I am actually running 2 8711's, one for steering and one for my dig, off of one CCBEC, with no issues, but I am going to be adding another CCBEC wired straight to the steering servo, just because.;-)

what is the c rating of your lipos

it sounds like your c rating is to low

on a novak rooster crawler with a 180 oz steering servo and a 55 turn motor it draws a c rating of 8.5

so i need at least a constant of that to run

i have a 12 c rating lipo so i dont over draw

telling us your c rating your speed control motor and servos will help out a bit

666: I'm using a Futaba 6ch FASST. I've heard about them trippin when an inconcistency in power occurs. Don't really know what that means or how to solve it. Could you elaborate in laymans terms?
Tanis: how are ya pulling that off? Just one 8711 and a 645 set at 6v shuts er down.
saul: 13C 1320maH 11.1v 3s, 55T v10, Mamba max/CC BEC det at 6volts, red wire disabled on max.

I'm still learning how amperage and voltage works. Got a comp on Sunday. Can I fix this? I thought spectrum/fasst was tops. In the dark now. Though I'd made a good decision regarding radio and servo but now I am having doubts. Can someone help me make this darn thing work Or should I just exchange it for a 5955? I'm so f'in flustered

try getting a battery with a c ratting of 18

i have a fealing that this combo is pushing the limit of your battery with the cc bec turned up

i had an issue with it shutting down like that ..but only at wot and found out it was the battery i had...the c ratting was only 4

i didnt know it was a 4 when i got it...as it was my first lipo and didnt know enuff to look at that

I simply pull the servo power wires out from their plugs and hook them directly to the power wire on the BEC. And let the BEC on the ESC power the receiver. Solves all my receiver shutting down issues!"thumbsup" Not sure if that will fix it but it's worth a try.

I feel dumb , but ...huhhh? So I would reconnect the red bec wire on the ESC, reenabling the stock bec, then... I'm a visual learner.
I hate to ask but is there a step by step w/pics (friggin noobs) I'm just havin' a hard time seeing it in my head. I don't get it.

Sorry and thanks 666

i run 2 hitec 5998 titanium servos off a castle BEC without any problem, so i dont think thats your issue. i am using a good battery however, a apogee 2 cell, if your using a cheap battery i would assume thats your problem.

Solomon7, I'm not doing anything special right now, just pulling the red wire on the Mamba Max, and plugging the CCBEC into the Batt port on the Rx. I run an old MX3 for a radio, with 55T handwound.

Thunder power 13C 1320 3s. Thought they were comparable to Max amps in quality

That's what i did. I don't get it. Why was I asked if it was Spectrum? It's not the radio is it? Once again .. I don't get it:-(

Why not just run he 8711 through the BEC, and the dig servo through the ESC!? that what i'm doing and have had absolutely no prob at all. (3 cell lipo 16c. 55turn mtr, ) BEC tapped into back of ESC where power wire come through. 8711 into "Y" harnes, BEC into harnes, signal wire, only, to receiver. "thumbsup"

He asked about the spektrum because sektrum radios and CC BEC's dont work well together out of the box. I had to pull the signal wire on the BEC on Gatekeepers truck at the ECC to get it to work right. If you turned, it would take off on its on.

I may have to try this out, as the spektrum shuts down when I have a servo or two under load. This is in my TXT tuber comp truck, with weighted XLs, and running twin Hitec 5745MG 1/4 scale servos. At 5 amps max load at stall they shouldnt be overpowering the bec, but I think they are tripping the spektrum and making the Rx go into fail safe.

Signal wire on the BEC eh? I'll try that and see if it works. You are basically describing what mine is doing. I turn a few times , it stalls, then sometimes takes off.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Not the best solution necessarily, but figuring the JR was taking too much power, I switched to a Hi Tec 5955TG, and everything works great.
Thanks 666, Rockcrawler, Tanis, noob superman, and cato for all your input.
Although I changed directions regarding servos, I still learnd quite a bit about wiring options.
Thanks guys! RCC ROCKS (pun intended)"thumbsup"
Now if I can just get my paypal set up so I can get a star... feel guilty getting all this for free:roll:
