Thanks Guys! You made me spend more money on RC and buy a DRX! (not that I need much encouragement to spend money on RC:mrgreen:)

I hit the go button on a Subaru WRX, but the next morning I thought why spend an extra $20- just for a WRX shell, especially as I don't like WRX's. So a quick email to RC Mart and the order was changed to a Demon. 6 days later, it's on my doorstep. Woo Hoo!!

First thing I noticed, and I don't know if it's been spoken about before, but isn't the Demon actually the Citroen C4 shell, just with different stickers?

Rear End:

Front End:

Only thigs done so far is to swap the battery tray around so the wires come out the front - had to grind a new slot for where the spur runs close. Moved the motor position so the wires were going over the top and not off the side of the chassis. And shoo goo'd the front and rear bumpers.

Couple of questions after first opening the box and setting it all up - the blue and yellow motor wires were mixed up so I swapped them over so they matched with each other - car went backwards. So I guess the wires are meant to b swapped over, or should I reverse the throttle on the transmitter? Does it matter which one I do?

Second question for now - is how tight should the screw be going into secure the pillow ball? (my first time with a car with this type of knuckle/arms). They were quite sloppy when I pulled it out of the box, so I tightened it up a bit. Is it possible to overtighten?

I see some of the other threads here with the motor wires crossed, so I think I'll leave it at that.

First major Mod::mrgreen:

Preventative mods:
Shoo Goo and drywall tape front and rear

Guards on the rear arms

And some velcro instead of the battery strap

I've also got the Amain Hobbies order on it's way with the Side Guards, Buggy Body, Gears, Cross Pins, and ....... I can't remember.

Congratulations on buying a fantastic car I love the two I have, I would recommend taping and gooing the whole shell though the plastics a little thin and if you drive it like you stole it, it will prolong its life .

As for the wires I left mine as it was, which ever you do it's the same result in the end.

I just checked both mine and those screws are are tight and there is a little play but nothing excessive

I like the postman:mrgreen:"thumbsup"

MP9 Sideguards (KYOIF449). Will eventuallly get some 'real' velcro straps, but these will do for now.

Slight trimming of the back end as required. Also smoothed out the underside a little to make it sit flusher.

MP9 Body (KYOIFB002), painted in Faskolor Sith Black. Had a bunch of velcro holding it on to the sideguards, but couldn't get the thing off, so reduced it down to 4 small pieces. Should still keep most of the crap out.

And a few extra bits for when I get to pull the diffs apart (KYO97001, KYOVZ012, KYOVS001-01)
