Since my Pro build I’ve been playing with light weight flat rail comp builds. They were fun. Let me run wild with different transmissions, axles, links, servos, electronics and wheel combinations.

But this kit has been calling to me! [emoji1787] It’s time for a nice trail truck.

Getting started…..as you all know the axles are solid! Impressed with how tight and smooth they came out.

After reading several of ya’lls build threads I opted to get the aluminum motor plate and stand offs.

Really just because they look cool. [emoji1787]

I can already tell that’s going to turn out sick, between the electronics package, and wheel and tire choice [emoji1303]

Following!"thumbsup"

Good call on the motor plate and standoffs! Aluminum bling never hurt anyone!:ror: Honestly though, I do prefer the rigid alum plate over the plastic any day!

I just finished collecting parts for my build today, very similar to yours. Which winch is that in your picture?

Maybe too late to answer your question, I apologize. Been away.

It’s a BOOM Racing Muscle Winch.

Been awhile. The rig is complete and tested. But haven’t painted the body. I was distracted by a “shiny object”!

Got a ARRMA Big Rock…….been a long time since I had a “fast” RC. It’s a hoot, definitely something different. Bashing is fun. Dang thing is only 3s but I’ve run it at 53 mph. Now I’m looking at the Vendetta……….for street running.

But I am back on the Phoenix and need to wrap it up and get it out once it cools off some….

I wanted something simple and clean. This is pretty minimalist. Just 3 colors and a few stickers.
