Hi all, I know I'm new here, but thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Richard Trujillo and I'm a Product Manager for Losi. I used to be the Team Manager for several years. Since I've always been a fan of R/C Crawling, I made this new tire one of my first projects. Here it is...

This is the 2.2 Losi Rock Claws. They come in our new Blue compound and list price is $19.99. The part number is (LOSA7682B). This tire goes live on Horizon Hobby tomorrow morning for back orders so you may not see it on the HH or Losi site until tomorrow. So far in testing that we've done, the feedback has been great.
I will be attending the Axial Comp this weekend and I plan to bring a few preproduction sets to show off and hopefully have some guys run them.
The tires should be available by the end of July.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm taking my kids to Magic Mountain so I may not be back here until late tomorrow night and then I'll be at the comp for the weekend so please be patient if I do not respond quickly.
Thanks for the look,
Rich Trujillo

Hey Rich, I remember you on the 1/18th scale scene awhile ago for Mini-Ts.

Its great to see Losi getting more into crawling, and especially more 2.2 tire options.

What is the blue compound? Is it super soft? If these tires net you great success which they will, also try making a 5.5 tall smasher or zombie. I remember you from your RCMT.net Bruiser days.

The Blue compound is what we use on our Eight-T Truggy tires. It is pretty soft and kinda falls between our Red and Silver compound. The side was are a little thinner than some of the other tires out there in hopes that it would help with the tires really grabing to the rocks.
I've use them on my Bruiser and the worked realllly good...and I'm not just saying that cause I work for the company :)

Rich,
Great to see yet another tire available for the 2.2 rim size. You will find and clearly already know that R/C rock crawling is blowing up and people want more. So if Losi goes down this path, you bet people will follow.

I hopefully will get a chance to meet you up at Donner this weekend. I will not be able to show up until Sunday, so hopefully you will still be around showing these off.

Hey Rich Welcome!

Ive run Losi forever, still run the ST shocks on my crawler. and tranny in a few builds, always top shelf stuff. Great to see Losi in the game. Ill be ordering a set from Horizon tomorrow.

looks nice rich, we could always use another tire to choose from in 2.2

doesnt losi already make that tire except in a maxx size?

Sweet looking tire - I may have to pick a set of those up, especially if they are taller than the moab.

Good to see you on RCC Rich, its been a long time since I have scene you on the boards (last time was probably on the old rcmt). Do you still have your 3 speeds?

Tires look good BTW, glad to see losi stepping into the crawling scene"thumbsup"

Hi Mike,
Ya i'm hoping to be able to stop in here from time to time. It's tough with work and my girls still playing fastpitch Softball which seems to take up 6 days out of the week LOL.
I still have my 3 speeds and still mainly use my Bruiser to crawl with. I'm building a 2.2 but just have not found time to finish it.

When I read the article on the RCC front page I was under the impression that it was a 5.5" tall tire. :-(

I'm glad to see Losi getting involved in crawling Rich, I have always liked Losi products but parts are more difficult to come by.
I'm excited to try out these tires, they sound great. "thumbsup" My friend Ace runs the T-Bone Reds on his super crawler and I think they are the best crawling tire made. If these are anywhere near as good you'll have a winner. Plus I've been dying to run something other than a Proline tire for years.

Still hoping for a 5.5" tall 2.2 version in the red.;-)
