so is brushless the way to go on worm axles...MOA or shaft driven??

I'm working on tunning my rc4wd worminator MOA rig...my 35t's on 3s are stalling pretty bad....
is my only option to jump up to a whole new brushless set-up??
I see post's of guys running 35t with good results..but they are NOT a good match on the RC4WD worm MOA's.

what about dual mamba max pro's and 13.5 motors?? good combo??
the only brushless experience I have is with my electric heli..so this is all pretty new to me...:?

any thoughts or suggestions??

You could always drop down to some 20t Holmes motors.:mrgreen:.But I really wanna see what you end up doing on this..I have had this same thought and curious to see where you take it.Dual Mamba Pro's would be sick regardless.."thumbsup"

What is the final drive ratio with the Wormy's?

maybe I should steal my dads two 7t cobalt's and try them on the rig????

Well I am about to run 30t's on my losi,since holmes don't have pullers right now..But 10t pullers is where it's at for a losi..IMO..But JRH said the 10't would compare in speed to a 35t,but i'm sure the puller has more torque..So if your wormy axles are a bit slower than the Losi MOA is..I would say 7t's should be just right..

But I am shooting blind with the wormy's..

Now that I just read that your having stalling..Go with the pullers and try that..

35t will not work on these axles for sure!...well unless the 4s lipo I bought wakes them up??...I can see me burning up the 35t's FAST if I keep them in here.
I'm surprised that the 10t would be slower then a 35t....my hh 10t's seemed waay faster then my hh 35t's but my 35t's had better TQ...(this was on my bully axled rig though)

I guess cobalt's would be the cheaper route at this point since I could keep my dual FXR's with that combo..

IDK the final drive?? RC4WD site says the ratio is 30:1

says 30:1 for MOA and 40:1 for the shafty on rc4wd. good luck I think brushless will be the only thing that will spin fast enough to get them moving.

What's the gear ratio on the losi setup?? Trans and axle ratio combinded?

The final drive ratio on the Losi Moa with the stock eritex gears is..55.1:1 and with my re gear it's 79.1:1

I still say give the 7t's a shot before you give up on brushless..But for brushlees I would think 13.5 turn novak,with mamba pro
