I wanna be Dave
Didn't know where to vent....had a bad day LOL need money to fix my car life's not going so well right now. But this goes out to you newbie scalers/crawlers/Wraith Axial fanboys....I know scale is the big new thing right now just like rally cars.
Ok I understand why people use eBay. I try not to unless the item is brand new with some sort of warranty and never any hobby related items unless I know the price of it new and I know the actual condition.
Some start out as pretty good sellers moving items along that a lot of us miss on rcc classifieds and a lot of crawler guys don't want to join....no biggie not their cup of tea so they shouldn't belong here anyway. We are a community to learn and help each other not who has the most blinged out rig that a stock Honcho RTR will eat alive. Now his VP stuff that he gets his hands on all banged and scratched up he sells pretty much 5-10% off. What happened to his morals?!
Then you get the people that all of a sudden wanna jump out of rc for whatever reason. Most of the time they bundle rc's together (who in the world has that much money to drop on 2+ rc's sight unseen?) Why would you sell a mini revo vxl with a blown rear diff which means the front is about to go...throw in some junk Onyx lipo charger and some crap 20c packs and then top it all off with the most hideous SCX10 RTR replacement body I have ever seen. Did this guy not read instructions?!
I just saw this ad today, and I was so tempted to reply back to the guy that he's NEVER going to get what he is asking (WHICH IS IN THE $520 's + SHIPPING for an RTR SCX10 with a body I'd rather set on fire before I would EVER disgrace any of my scalers with....and throwing in a broken MERV is supposed to make up for the difference?
Then he goes on to say oh that's just rust in the picture "does not affect performance." Nitro, gassers, electrics RUST ALWAYS AFFECTS PERFORMANCE!!
On top of that eBay takes a cut and so does PP based on your total sale. It doesn't take a genius to figure 1 +1 = 2.
I sure hope this idiot reads and does his homework. Selling is not about price all the time nor is it about functionality. You have to know your product inside and out and you have to know when the best time to sell is.
MERV are a dime a dozen. Yours is broke....which means the next guy needs to put $$ into unless he has a spare parts one. The SCX10 will need a lot of work....running an SV3 with a 2 pole?! NO BEC and a Hitec WP servo...
Sigh I wish there were comments sections on eBay so people getting into this hobby do not get discouraged because some A-hole passed all his problems to the next guy.
