Source for bolts, nuts, washers...etc?

What is everyone using for a source for their hardware? I have so far broken even link mount bolt twice, and the ones that are currently not broken are all bent.

The local Ace hardware has the 4-40 bolts I want, but no nuts or washers. Plus the bolts are the typical crap ones that I have bent/broken already.

I'm looking for something with a little bit more strength to put in there. The strength will be nice, and once I get the parts back from the machine shop it will all be double shear anyway, which will be really nice. Just like with my real cruiser, I'm tired of working on it, I just want to drive it now. :D

I don't know about your home depot, but mine doesn't carry anything smaller than 6-32 and 4mm (ie: no 3mm or 4-40) and that includes no threaded rod in those sizes either. I've probably got around three or four HD's in the area and they're all the same! :x That, and the fact that you practically have to beg someone to help you if you can't find anything.

I could not agree more!
I HATE, no wait.......LOATH Home Depot. I will drive the extra 15 minutes north to Lowes any day of the week to avoid going in there. (which by the way Lowes doesn't carry them either) :(

Mcmaster. I placed over $170 worth of orders off of there, and I received the package in about 3 days. Packaging was all done nicely, and the screws/bolts look very nice.

i order from mcmaster as well except i don't have it delivered.i go pick it up  they are nice people to deal with.if you can use 3mm instead of 4-40.3mm is a little thicker and a little stronger.but make sure it fits before ordering

Your lucky. Mine only has wood screws.

I order from McMaster. Huge selection, great prices, really fast shipping.

Y'all don't have any "Nutty Co." stores by you? You poor souls....... There is one by me, and another by Trac95 (we're from CT). These places are just the coolest little joints! They carry everything you could think of in 3MM, threaded rod and all! They even carry 3MM taps and tap drills!

I just get em from the depot or lowes, they both carry them here.I like the ones over here, except when they get a bad batch of wood and im picking through it forever. They help me usually, i go there a hella lot with the ramp building and all so they all know me, in both stores.I also gota add i had a hot cashier at lowes yesterday, shure makes dumping off loads of cash more fun.
