Speedweigand/Wolf Creek Picnic table

I've been working with Speed on my garage project & sent him a CAD file of my picnic table to see what he could do with it & just to try something small to see how my CAD & his CNC work.

He's selling them on the vendor section. Picnic table kit

Here is my build of one. takes all of 15 minutes.

Little bit of sanding edges & I used CA. Other stuff works but I like fast setting properties of CA.

five top boards, I find it helpfull to use a square & draw baselines for the 3 bottom braces.

Oops, screwed up my own design, glued the center brace on flat rather than on end.

Next, leg braces. I just used the drawing that I sent him, printed out & layed the pieces over it & used it as a guide like you would build a balsa airplane:

glued the assembled legs to the inside of the braces:

Sand the diagonal braces to fit & glue.

Braces under the seats aren't really neccessary. I made a real one & it needs it so the 2x10 doesn't flex.

and.... if it sits perfectly level... it's not a real picnic table.
