spektrum DX3.0 on summitt

can a spektrum DX3.0 be used to control a summitt? i have a chance to buy a used one it just doesnt come with a transmitter and receiver

Well it will work some of the functions...But its only a 3channel controller...So no
it wont work....

you could y harness the both diffs and the low range together, or if the dx3 is like the dx3r with the 3 position 3rd channel you could use 3 channel high for regular driving, 3 channel mid for locked diffs , and 3channel low for locked diffs and low range.

The DX3.0 has a 2 position 3rd channel and it can't be modified for 3 position.

The 3.0 could be used for throttle, steering, and transmission shifting. You wouldn't have remote control over the diffs though.
