i got bit by a spider about a week ago. was just a small circle then but now its this...about a week later. its not as red or raised so i think its getting better.i was worried about the line working off of it but as of now its starting to fade.

im not sure if it was a spider bite or some sort of insect as it happened while i was sleeping. the neighboring county just had a few cases of brown recluse spider bites. i dont think its that though.

thought i would share.

a week is a while, looks rough.my instincts would make me concerned about the line aswell.

I have been bitten, didnt look like that, turned white[rotting] with thin red around perimiter.

It is not a brown recluse bite. You would have been is bad shape after a day or so. Because it happened in bed, it was more than likely a spider. My guess would be a wolf spider. They are a semi agressive species that loves beds. You roll over in the middle of the night, and they get scared and bite. They are a roaming spider that makes no web. I would go ahead and change the sheets and shake out the comforter, just to make sure that she is not still in there.

Being that you seem to have no other symptoms, do not have a nasty scab or necrosis, adn the fact that that line isnt dark I would not worry too much. If the line keeps moving, or a scab forms, and just when you think its healing, the scab fall into a pocket in your skin get your butt to the hospital. Many things can bite you and not leave a bite mark. Often the saliva of the creature irritates or causes a localized reaction. If it persists, even if it stays the same, get it checked.

do you have ticks in your area? a tick bite if left unnoticed could cause lyme disease, which would cause a random rash like yours and worse if left untreated. not saying that's what it is but better safe than sorry.

Have you considered a chigger bite? Me and a buddy went on a scale run at a local place and I got bit by chiggers and they just about handed my ass to me. after about a week my ankle was swollen to bout the size of a softball. That dont look like my bites but the doctor believes I had a allergic reaction.......My second guess would be some type of STD. Rub some KY and bong residue on it and call me in the morning!!

My legs will be covered like that after mowing the lawn or tackling the over grown weeds.... For me, it's all allergy related. Something touches my skin, I break out in a small rash, looks worse especially if I scratch it. I'll have it for about 3-5 days after being in the yard.

thanks guys for taking a look.its not getting any worst and its slightly improving. still itches like a bastard.

Yeah doesn't look like recluse to me, but chit you never know these days....

You know what they say about spiders, beds and sleeping right!
You swallow two a year at least.......

Man I cant keep spiders outta here, I've had professionals spray twice already this summer and in just this last week weve killed probably 10-14 and 4 of those were huge big mean and black.......I :flipoff:N HATE SPIDERS.......

i havent put any cream or used Benadryl. only Benadryl i have is the type thats in tylonel pm. it is starting to go away , ill look for some cream and see if that helps.
