I have seen a few various rigs set up where each wheel has it's own steering link going to the servo, instead of one from the servo to a wheel, then wheel to wheel. Seems like a good way to do it, but must not be because so few rigs have it? What do you guys think of it, and if anyone has done it on an ar60, what are the dimensions for the links? I'd like to do it on my wraith, depending on what you guys say about it.

I've seen that in Tamiyas, which are crap at everything except being quirky.

Sounds like it would mess up the steering geometry (change the front toe as you steer for one)...
 
I've seen it on 4ws wraiths before, front and rear on various YouTube vids. It would give slight toe in as it turned, but I see the caster angle, on mine anyways, isn't correct so at full turn the tires are aren't at the proper angles of each other. Guess it's not important at this scale and weight. I'm mainly after raised steering links, I'll probably just figure a way to raise mine up. Maybe clock my c hubs differently too.

It was called Suicide Steering (or Suicide Switch was the kit), tends to work ok where the steering is behind the axle but on a Wraith with the steering in front it can tend to throw in a weird reverse Ackerman effect where the outer wheel turns tighter than the inner.
Introduces a lot of outer scrub & provides no real benefit.
It's caused by the way the servo arm rotates & where the effect on the tie rod is to no longer pull/push but simply lift as the arm rotates.

There's no harm in trying it but most rigs don't have it for a reason.
