post some top down shoots of your front steering for help, and front on shoots. most people change the location of the servo for better ackermans angle ( search that one)

there is a thead on steering help from me search clod under misfitcj ***edit found the thread****click the linky

rear steer is used to make sharper turning radius, big help on clods ( not really know for there good steering) if you are going kit I would go RC Guy pro front and rear worth the bucks and great people to work with, there are other vendors though.

All the steering lockout dose is alows the rear axle to be locked in straight position for those who don't wanna run rear steer/ 4wheel steering.

I see the pic of the part, but where would it mount at on the axle? What is the advantige of these mounts?

Thanks in advance
in the stock servo saver hole on top of the gear box.
don't know any reason that needs changing unless your having a problem with it.that seems to be set up like an esp, that the angles they are at now are triangulated.at least it looks like it is from the current pic
as for your orig ? is there a servo on the other end?can't see in the pic.the purpose of locking out the rear is mostly for racing.4ws gets a bit squirrly at speed.but for crawling it could be a good advantage to manuvor aroung obstecles

Triangulation is what keeps your axle located from side to side. Without proper triangulation, your axle will walk itself side to side which will give you less control over your truck during extreme articulation as it will want to steer itself. This is called axle steer.

Try pickup up your truck off the ground, and try and move the axle from left to right. A properly setup suspension should have no left to right play. If yours moves, then you need triangulation.

Look at pretty much any well setup clod on this board and they have the upper links triangulated.

Check out this thread http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1878 and look at how the upper links are mounted, and the way they form a triangle.

I guess you dont need a whole lot of triangulation in racing, since thats what ESP clod setups are meant for.

Thanks for all your input guys..you make my world a whole lot easier..I will post some pics once I finish rebuilding the diffs

Thanks again...oh...this truck is for serious rock crawleing only
