Tactic RX/TX Combo?

I have the bomber stock tactic TTX300 radio. Would like to use it for a boat and therefore need another receiver. Will this one work even though it's a 6 channel? Its cheaper than the 3 channel one.

I don't see why not. Just won't be able to use all 6 channels.
