Hi guys pretty new to RC. I can turn wrenches all day and have no problem but when it comes to body work i'm lost. This will be my first hard body creation and I chose to the Tamiya Toyota Tundra High Lift Cab to replace my cab on the scx 10 honcho. I have done tons of research but still really lost. If anyone has done a build like this and would give me a helping hand that would be much appreciated!

Here's some pics of mine"thumbsup"

Thanks guys these trucks all look like custom chassis and cage. I'm looking for just a cab mount ideas on the stock chassis I have found a lot of builds but with all custom cages. I am wanting to use the stock honcho cage for now till my welding is improved enough to make my own cage.

Only problem u will run into is that the cab isn't long enough so u will have to at least run a honcho bed to cover the frame my frame is cut at the back of the cab and then the tube back is welded to that and the plate sliders but just ask if u ever want any other pics of how far the body covers from the front of the frame to where it stops"thumbsup"

Thanks ssdub I would like to see pictures of how far the cab sits back. Also the back part of cab is open, did you close it off or did you leave it open? I have found threads at rcsparks on guys closing it up with styrene.

Here are some pics of how far the frame goes on the body obviously yours won't b cut off and what I did for the back of the cab was I made a plate out of thin steel and bent it to shape for what I wanted and I have a 4"x2"x1" radio shack project box that all my electronics go in that bolts onto the plate I made and I wasn't really worried about how it looked cuz I made a sheet of styrene look like wood and mounted all my scale stuff on it behind the cab between it and my spare and as I said let me know if u want any more pics or help"thumbsup"
