Hi,
Good news from TCS. Some weeks ago I sent an email to the "TCS Thermal Cooling System" to ask if they can make a cooling system for our scale and crawler trucks.
Yes, they can. During the 2008 they will make a radiator with a electric fan, as the real ones.
They reply me:
"... Yes this would be an interesting application for our Cooling system. We could easily package a system like this for trucks with two motors etc. All of the parts are also available separately, so it would be easy to configure a custom system. The standard brushed system contains: 1 micropump, 1 radiator, 1 motor cooling plate, Coolant, filling bottles and tubing instructions etc. Additional radiators, motor cooling plates can also be added. The standard electric radiator (Part No TCS-124) measures 43 x 25 x 9mm. ..."
Their website (http://www.tcscooling.com/) will be updated soon to include all the parts, with pictures. "thumbsup"

These could be used to cool an ESC inside of a sealed waterproof box.

Too bad they are $150.

Whats the point? I just don't see the object of these water cooling system's when. 1. People are running outrunners. 2. Lathe motors don't get hot.

Even under heavy abuse the added weight of the water, radiator, pump and jacket. Would do nothing but add a burden as compared to adding a electric fan and heatsink

Chassis are crowded enough as it is.

Smashing the radiator into rocks would have a cool scale effect though.

Those are more geared for Racing...you need air flowing through the rad for it to cool the liquid. Great idea but wrong application.

I spoke to one of the engineers a few months ago.
Their will be something available from them soon that
may be of some interest to us scalers.
Their current system will only push liquid, not air...
wrong impeller...Hmmmmmmm:?:...
