Team Associated???

Re: Element RC Enduro Sendero___Team Associated ???

Gotta look at Associateds parts list for this truck. Inner fenders, brass hubs, metal gears and pivot balls.
Well thought out and planned for, hopefully will blow the SCX10ii out of the park, that forces Axial to up the game. Bring It!!!

Money sent...mine is reserved. Now the waiting.

My LHS wont take pre-order $ (bad deals in the past with short shipping from traxxas/distributors), however I'm #4 on the list of his order of 6 Sendero's. So I'm with you on the waiting part. To hold me over I decided to get a Gen8 today (mostly for the 12 year old).

Yes, that feature isn't talked about as often as it should be IMO. I'm pretty sure this will disappear if the Enduro ever comes up for a financial review, but at this point it's awesome and I'm surprised no other company has done it as this point. Awesome touch.

Axial prints on the inside of their boxes. But nothing meaningful or useful like this.

Agreed! It doesn't seem like a well thought out truck.

I was thinking that when I typed my previous posted. Nope, the unicorns don't do anything for me. :lmao:

I've taken a bit of a break from crawlers / scalers for the last year, busy with house , Jeep , etc. I just preordered one of these, looks like it's going to be a decent rig. "thumbsup"

I don't recall it being mentioned but I was looking at the Enduro's website and noticed many stock parts have replacement parts that are labeled as "Hard". They are a couple bucks more than the stock replacement and while zooming in on the pics makes them look more like a different plastic...more of a fiber reinforced perhaps.

Hope this doesn't mean it comes with Axial plastics stock and an optional upgrade to TRX4 plastics. If that's the case, I'll just piece one together.

Here's an example with the skid plate/servo mount.

Hard https://www.associatedelectrics.com...SC42012-enduro_gearbox_and_servo_mounts_hard/

From what the presenters were explaining at PLBF with their show and tell, Associated has always offered upgraded components for their 'race cars'. SOP.

So while we can't tell quite yet if the stock stuff is Axial grade or TRX grade, there are options for 'upgrade' parts. And I'm glad to hear it!

First thing I'll be looking for is a set of alloy link pivot balls. ;-)
BTW, for any buyers of this rig, check out Losi parts warehouse - a stocking dealer for Associated as well as Protek batts and a host of other RC products: https://www.losipartshouse.com/

These guys have their $hit together, ship fast, competitive pricing, and lots of stock.

I noticed that too! The plastics of the "HARD" parts remind me of the plastics on my RC10B4. They kinda have the same look.

From what I remember on the race vehicles that have the same option, the hard parts have more carbon in them which make them much stiffer, a little lighter, and more brittle than the standard plastic.

It is a trade off between a little flex in the plastic parts for more durability or removing all flex for a higher risk of snapping parts. On the race cars it was more of a tuning option as the hard parts cause the suspension to react a little differently, not sure of the benefits on a scale truck.

From what they were saying at by the fire its intended for comp guys seeking the lowest possible weight.
I really like their idea to offer the two types of plastic "thumbsup"

Oh and I just remembered the big one, it slides better!

Well gee, that could pull it off as a Dodge by just changing the badging!
Add interior. Maybe a softopper.
Make the fender flares look like rubber

I like options too. In this case I think I'd rather just have it come with the hard plastic stock. If I got the RTR I'd have a hard time leaving it alone knowing there's hard versions of the axles, skid plates, rock sliders, knuckles, hubs and so on. Hopefully a kit includes these things. I'm more confident I'll just piece one together in the mean time. Still looking forward to it."thumbsup"

My first RC from Associated was the gold pan RC10 that I still have. I have bought from them since. I have never had anything from them that was a disappointment. I am not in the market right now but it looks like they have a winner especially at the price.

Exact reason for me. I still have mine in parts box, the Futaba servo still works, and is on my bench still
AMain had allowed the coupon so I jumped at the 25.00 off
