Well, as some of you know I'm shipping out to Ft. Benning in a few months for Boot Camp. And I have just built a new 1.9 trail rig. So I have decided to document my training adventures with this new rig. The idea is to hike multiple local trails with my Rc and log the miles and post pictures along the way. What better way to prepare for my ruck marches than a backpack loaded with Rc parts.

The Black Widow in all her glory.

First trail we did was Soledad Canyon here in Las Cruces. Right at 4.5 miles round trip with mild change in elevation. Here are some pics.

Old remains of a rock house on the trip back down the mountain.

Today was a shorter trail with an extreme change in elevation. I ran the rig up "A" Mounain here in Cruces. Not exactly sure on the elevation change in feet. But according to my phone it was a 53 floor climb. Rig did great, only took 1 picture at the summit. But I will say that this trail is as close to a 1:10 version of 1:1 wheeling I've ever done. It was awesome. Ruck sack weighed in around 25lbs so it was a pretty tough climb.

Here's the view overlooking Las Cruces.

Took the Black Widow out to A Mountain again today. Did a little more exploring. There are killer trails everywhere up there. 3 miles round trip today, majority of it being a steep climb. Took a few more pics today. Hope you guys enjoy.

Then on the trek down the mountain, Mother Nature decided to be a real dick and kick some rocks out from under me. So I took a quick knee. Lol

All in all a great morning hike. The mail man brought me some parts today, so I got the front axle built. I'll post pics of that tomorrow.

Went back up to A Mountain today. Found a really good trail for a KOH event. Snapped a few pics. Did right at 4 miles round trip. Rig did great again with no issues what so ever.

Here's a pic of the front end after the build. She gets new shoes tomorrow as well.

Thank you. There have been some changes made to the rig. I'll try to get some pics posted up asap. I've also been real busy with work, so I haven't had much time to run the rig. I'll definitely have some pics this weekend.

Well it's been awhile since I've had time to run the Black Widow. But we had our Bragging Rights comp yesterday that I got to attend. This was a "run what you brung" type deal. 1.9's and 2.2's running together. I was lucky enough to edge out a win by 2 points. Rig is working spot on and I could ask any thing else from it. Here are some of the pics we took.

And the pic from hearing the final results. Alfonso and I have been scoring this close back and forth for the last 4 years. It's always a good time. I just want to thank everyone for coming out and making it a great time.
