The best drummer ever

Im a music freak and dated a girl for along time who was on the bass line for the Oregon cruisaders drum and beugle corps. Personally I like the hard fast stuff, or the drumline stuff. Slipknot, Blink 182, Tool, As I lay dying, In Flames, Trivium, and Old school Metallica have some of my Favorite drummers/Drumming. There are tons more.... But with the music world kicking off these days with the millions of bands, it's hard to keep up.

well, even though my days of wanting to be a stinky hippie a long gone, you gotta add mickey hart from the greatful dead to this list.

he may not be a speed drummer, but he is a very creative one. his work he has done with his group "Planet Drum" is very ineresting.

Quite the range of drum styles.

I'm partial to the Drums on In Flames album Clayman, but their newer album isn't bad either. As I lay dying lays down some killer drums as well.

Soilwork is pretty good as well, but their bass drum is a little jumbled at times because I don't believe they use one of those electronic actuators that a lot of the metal guys use.

Axenrot from Opeth is also pretty damn good.

I like Slayer a lot, its just too bad Kerry couldn't link together two riff's in the same key to save his life.

I just got back from a 30 minute Mudvayne YouTube spree.

I'm honestly suprised no one has mentioned Vinnie Paul. I don't know what he's up to since his brother was killed several years ago at the Damange Plan show in Ohio, but Vince is one of the best metal drummers ever. Of course, it could just be that most of the people here are either too old or too young to have had anything to do with Pantera. :)
