-We will be following SORCCA rules for this event the event is open to all classes of rigs from Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3, however Tire size will be limited to that of Class 2 rules (AKA, 4.75" maximum)

-If you are not familiar with the rules of SORCCA please brush up and learn them.

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/scale-comp-rules/367585-2012-sorcca-scale-rules.html

- You will be required to have a minimum of 20 scale points for this event, you can have more, but you will not be rewarded for them.

- All courses will be based on time, each course will have a maximum time limit.

-All course times will be added together and at the end of the day the person with the quickest time for the day wins.

- This will be a semi natural terrain style TTC event, similar to the series we ran last year.

-Course types will include:
- Sled pull
- Hill Climb
- Tank Trap
- Rubicon/open road/rally course
- Frame twister
- Mud pit (depending on the weather)

- Your vehicle will be getting wet, really wet. Plan to have your truck completely submerged in water and water proof accordingly. If you are not fond of getting your RC vehicle wet and muddy this event is not for you.

- Location will be HOON470 in Morrison, Colorado. (Very close to the rally track) Cross roads are Soda Lakes RD. and Morrison RD.

- Event will be Sunday November 4th 2012

- Tech will be at 9:30 am, courses will start at 10am.

- If you have a rig that is of questionable legality please ask now so it can be clarified, event organizers have the right to not allow any rig that is deemed not scale. So if you have something that is questionable ask now.

- Event organizers are not responsible for adding your scale points, that being said if you do not have the required points to run in the event you will not be allowed to run. Once again if there are questions please ask here or in the scale rules section.

- This Top Truck Challenge is focused on scale appearance and having fun. Please come out with a vehicle of scale appearance and a smile on your face!

All the serious stuff aside lets get some trucks dirty and have some fun!

If we missed something or there are questions please ask.

Re: Some HOONs Present a TTC

Awesome news!!!

I've been working on Pepe under the radar (so as not to piss of Heather) and will have him waterproofed and ready for this event. 4.75" tires should be in tomorrow. "thumbsup"

[HILLBILIGAN] for Life!! :ror:

Most top truck rigs are built big and nasty, you put 1.9's on them and it just isn't right. It's like if 4-wheeler limited the real top truck to 35's.

You're right though, I'm sure it'll be fun.

I agree with you there.

The smaller tire size will make things a little more challenging.

With that said we have been talking about a 2.2 TTC, but it probably won't happen till the spring.

We maybe able to work something out for 2.2s at this event... Its a big IF. IF there is enough interest and IF Patrick and Rodney are down for it. And IF we can find the means to create a viable challenge for them...

I will talk to the guys.

Why not just run them all together like before? I don't mind running my 1.9 against the 2.2 trucks.

Only because at this location there will be an inherent advantage in a 5.75" tire VS a 4.75 or smaller tire.

I say just bring your 1.9's. I think the turnout will be good and it will be a challenge for all.

Jason, Pepe looks the TTC part even with the smaller tires and will beat all other 1.9'ers just like in the TTC series.

I picked up the new tires at the PO today and will get pics posted. "thumbsup"
