"The Flea" in the Boiler Room

I couldn't resist building up a tuber for my MRC, so a PM went off to DMG Jerry. Of course I need a spot to wheel it, and I'd go insane without crawling all winter; so I hauled some rocks into my basement. I plan on adding a bit more to the layout in the next few weeks, and I may replace the long stick bridge with a cable bridge.

After a bit more tweaking with the FXR, I also decided to move the rear shocks to the second mounting position to level out the rear links. I had to use an Associated ball stud shim to clear the shock cap; it just barely rubbed on the chassis tube.

The chassis looks like a straight swap with the stock suspension, is this the case?

How much run time are you getting from only 600 mAH?

Very nice setup. "thumbsup" I think that is my favorite DMG chassis for the MRC so far.

I think that is the thing that intrigues me the most about the MRC is that you can wheel it indoors with minimal space. Great looking rig.

A couple ??'s if you don't mind:

How much run time are you getting from only 600 mAH?

Everything on the MRC is a direct bolt up for the Nat with the following two exceptions:

If you want to run a flipped tranny, order yours without the ESC porch...the spur gear will not clear.

It is also recommended that you run a shorter shock if you want to retain a sprung set up. Jerry used the Mini T Pro rear shocks all around, and I mocked mine up with the Losi Mini Late Model threaded shocks, but found them to be a bit too short.

Otherwise, just droop the stock or threaded shocks. The only mod I had to make was to install an Associated ball stud shim under the rear ball studs to clear the shock cap from the tube once I had moved them to the outer hole.

The threaded Losi shocks are just a tick longer than stock so keep that in mind, as well as the fact that if you run this chassis sprung with that length, you're CG and ride height are both increased substantialy.

As far as run time on the Losi 600...I actualy don't know yet. I've only got a few minutes of testing on it so far. I'll post up that info as soon as I have it.

And Jootz, you're little Sling Shot is sweet brutha' but I'm a tuber junky ;-)

Quick update on The Flea:

Installed the Losi metal lockers in the axles.

Losi CV Drive Shafts and Aluminum knuckles are on the way.

Run time on the Losi 600 mAH Lipo right now is around 30 to 40 minutes on my indoor set up (not much heavy throttle involved here).

80w oil seems to work well with the droop set up, but I may try 100w just for kicks.

I'm estimating that once I get some wheel time outside at our local hot spot this Spring, run time on the Lipo will go down...much gnarlier terrain.
