Very nice looking rig i also have a mrc DmG nat thanks to jerry needs some updates but works good for now.

I also got the same idea you had and carried over 6 ton of rock into my basement cable bridge twig bridge and much more with three feet of snow outside a guys got to have some place to play here is a a small vid of my playroom

Now, how do you get permission to do something like that!?! Thats sweet man!

The Eritex beadies are worth every penny...I've never locked up tires so easily, the beads literaly dropped right into the rim.

I already have a set of his 1.9 12 shooter beadlocks for another scale project I need to start. So far the only thing I did was to mount the tires to the rims.....easiest beadlock to work with ...excellent quality....I totally agree, his products......ROCK:ror:

That's the Losi aluminum horn for Hi Tec servos...part number LOSA99033

It's pre threaded for 4-40 hardware, but I used the stock 2.0mm cap head, and a small HPI M2 low profile lock nut; part number Z662, which just clears the servo mount posts by less than half a millimeter when it's all bolted up. No issues "thumbsup" I also use 2.5x10mm cap heads rather than the stock phillips head horn screws on my Hi Tec's

And yes the 5245MG will mount right up to the stock location. The only difference is that the servo ears will be off just a tick. When you use the Losi CF Plate, it raises the servo mounts up just enough to make it perfect with the 5245 ears, because of the additional material that allows the mounts to seat within the stock servo plate. If you take your servo mounts off you'll see what I mean.

I personaly prefer the axle plates over stock location...my Axial based 2.2 included. I only run Lipo's in my crawlers, and these plates work out well for my set ups.

Did you have any trouble seating your Losi tires on those wheels? I just picked up a set of the Comp Heavy's and the cutout for the bead is pretty thin, the lock rings don't seem to want to screw down flush with the wheel. I', worried about cranking down too tight and either stripping the wheel or tearing the rubber.

Also, did you vent your tires? Where/how?

I'm not Creepy but I can put my 2 cents in on this one, I am running the comp heavy's with the losi blue claws. I thought the same thing when I got mine but they mounted up just fine, I have not noticed what you are saying about the rings not wanting to sit flush with the rim though. The screws do get tight as it gets close but not anything that worried me on mine. Either way, if there is a problem I would think that there should be some kind of warranty.

So yours are flush, ok. I got them down real close now so I guess I'll just go back and flush them up.

The Eritex Comp Heavies are hands down some of the finest beadlocks available. I had no issues what so ever mounting up the Losi Claws...they literaly dropped right into the bead channel and sat there while I bolted up the rings.

I run the Losi memory foams front and rear, and right now I don't vent anything, however once Spring roles in and I get out to our usual haunts, I may vent the tires and switch to the stock blue foams in the rear.

Tire vent will most likely be one 1/8 hole per to start, centered on the tread. Hope this helps, and apologies for not posting up sooner.

No, problem, thanks. Ive been running un-vented and found that its seems to work just fine. I'm using the stock foam too.

Actually I do have one question about your rims, when you put the blue claws on how close to flush was it with the face of the rim before putting on the bead rings?

On mine the cut out for the bead (bead channel I guess) was maybe half the thickness of the bead which means there's a good amount of rubber to be squeezed down by the ring making it hard to get it flush. And they did not sit on the bead channel like you say yours did, Once I had the ring just barely on I had to go around the under side of the ring and push the bead back into the channel before starting to really tighten the ring. I wonder if ours were cut differently?

It is possible that they were cut differently, but my guess would be a flaw in the tire mold perhaps? Gerame's quality and tolerences seem to be pretty tight...my Claws were dead flush with the bead channel.

Shoot him a PM and ask if he changed anything, or try another set of 1.9's and see what happens.

Flea Update

I had limited my shock travel substantialy, but after some wheeling found that it was just a tick too much. I was having difficulty with sidehilling on a familiar line at one of our favorite spots.

After trimming down the limiters to exactly 9/16, and switching to 100w Losi shock oil, I've got it dialed in so that it closely replicates the travel in my Hustler Super, and I'm diggin' it.

Also installed the updated brushes and springs in the HH Torque Master Mini, and it runs flawlessly so far. The added power is a welcome addition, as I felt that the stock Losi can was severely lacking in wheel speed.

Run time on the Losi 600 2S Lipo, even on the terrain I normally hit with my 2.2, is still approaching 40 minutes...very nice!

The Tekin FX-R continues to impress. I tweaked my drag brake to 40 clicks with the Hot Wire, and at that rate it allows a very nice, slow, controlled descent (overall weight is 2lb 7oz). Even without the current update, the FX-R is butter smooth at low throttle input with the TMM "thumbsup"

Also installed the Losi CV driveshafts and aluminum knuckles. Gained a bit of steering throw, and so far both components are holding up very well.

Now if Pro Line would hurry up and come out with those 1.9 Chisels to go with their 1.9 beadlocks I will be in bussiness..:lol:

I'm not a fan of the 2.2 Chisels, but I'm considering the 1.9's if they are released.

I like the Blue Claws, but I think the Chisels would perform better on certain terrain. Gotta' have at least two sets of rims and tires anyway ;-)

If you are referring to the FX-R, it has a Lipo cut off...no need to worry about running it too low"thumbsup"

The stock speed control will handle 7.4v Lipos, but there is no cut off. Novak and other companies sell Lipo cut off devices you can solder onto the stock ESC.
