The new bling hotness

Mmmmmm beer...

If I can't get it figured out I'll make it an art sculpture and put the good stuff back on the VP chassis. :D

Which scale build? The scaleish tube buggy, trail rig or tow rig?

:flipoff:

You still coming over tomorrow? I'm bbq'ing burgers for dinner. :D

I will know by morning..;)the espresso stand a block from my house that my neighbor owns got robbed and her daughter got beat up :(, so I'm doing volunteer security...

So I've been busy with work lately but I've found plenty of time to work on the rigs.

The main rig is now sitting on 2.2" comp cut boggers and narrowed rocksters. I have been tinkering on the spring set up and so far the traxxas dual rates have been working fantastic. I jump the rig regularly and it sticks the landing nicely. Picked up a savox 1268tg servo for cheap and grabbed a couple clamping servo horns so both rigs have one too. I also tossed the bug body in favor of a proline C10 as I like the scale side of things more and its just a cool body.

The parts rig is rocking it well these days too. I put the old hitec 5945 servo on it and swapped out the gc2 chassis for a stock ax10 version so I could drop a proline body mount set and caged blazer body on it easily. I have it on sticky 2.2" roklox with proline beadlocks now which I've found to be a fantastic tire.

I still need to make bumpers and whatnot for both rigs but they are getting there. :D

Got off a bit early so I had a few minutes to tinker with the rigs again. Toed them both in a bit so they are about straight so their zero ackerman arms/knuckles will work right. Also figured out why my fabled xr/wraith steering didn't turn sharper than the ax10 with axial cvd's. I had put the screws in from the top so the locknuts were hitting the c hubs before it was at full lock just like a noob. I raised the C10 body about half an inch along with a bit of trimming and now it will juuuust catch the body on full compression at full lock.

I still need to pick up a uber servo and move past the 70's am technology radios and get a hacked gt3c so my randomly appearing glitch will go away once and for all but so far I'm stoked. Need to get some time this week to go test what I've done. :D

Fawking double post...

So I'm in the market for a new motor. My 35 turn Holmes let out its magic smoke. Slipped my ancient but very low run time 55 turn integy in while I shop around. its not as fun but it'll work.

It's not my fault you moved!!! I woulda even rented you my house so we could be together..we, I mean, closer...:flipoff:

I'd sooner turn tricks in a Turkish prison than live in crackima. Our new house is fawking pimp, too bad you'll never come over when you're in the area. :flipoff:

So the boggers are cool but suck a huge donkey cawk in too many situations. Problem solved.

G8 compound of course, trimmed the corners of the memory foam in the rear and left the front stock for support while turning.

Progress continues. I really like the rear upper link plate on the truck so I copied it loosely for the blazer out of scrap aluminum. That allowed me to finally run longer uppers for better geometry. I used Lunsford tie rods leftover from my days messing with maxxes.

Sx's hook really well for being brand new. I'm sure they will only get better as they and the foam break in. No pics for tonight, try back later kids.

So I noticed that I had managed to bend both servo arms after running them the other day. Problem solved.

1/8" outer with 14 gauge or so on the back. Shouldn't have any more bending issues.

I was having issues with pulling the roklox out of the proline wheels while the sx's fatty beads were shoe horned onto the axial wheels. So I swapped them and now I do'nt have either issue. :D

I also changed my drag link side to side to hopefully keep from hitting the servo arm again. I'm sure I'll still hit it but now there isn't a big long link attached to attract rocks.

I suddenly lost reverse on my sv2 yesterday too. It worked just fine one minute and not the next. No water, or any other trigger was present for it to freak out. I checked the programming with my castle link and its fine. Swapped radio gear too and no dice. Guess I'll send it in to castle for a $40 fix.

I'm also picking up an Scx10 from psycho j lo next weekend if he doesn't flake on me again. :flipoff:
