the ultimate crawler king.....

I like this! I have the HPI crawler king and was thinking about getting an axial wraith, but I might do something along this line as well! good job!

Lol thanks, i still need to put up pics of my rear end complete, still gotta do the front end and get an rx/tx and servo

I am moving my steering servo to the front axle using the kit you linked to, also going to upgrade to a traxxas 2075 waterproof servo, the stock hpi one only has 40oz and the traxxas is 125... also installed headlights and tail lights in mine which i hooked up to the esc battery slot and it works great for nighttime crawling! I need to get pics up soon..

Hitec makes a waterproof servo that has 180 oz in for around the same price and i will also be using the axle mount servo kit, but mine has a dewalt motor on it

well I already have the traxxas, but if it doesnt work like I want I will have to go with one that has more torque. I got pics now of the lights on it..

I am looking to see if there is a way to convert the CK to 4 wheel steering, since the rear axle is the same as the front, it will steer if the rod is removed..

edit: found several good links on the conversion, that will be my next upgrade!

what advantage will the 96 give me over the stock 90? should i put in the 18 pinion to replace the stock 21? i know that will increase the ratio...

It slows you down a lil but gives you more torque, ill probavly be using 17-20t pinions to find the best ratio fo me

well the stock ratio is 4.28 : 1 and the 96t w/18t pinion is 5.33 : 1 with the 55t motor

while the wraith stock gearing is 4.00 : 1 with a 20t motor

so I am taking it that the wraith is more of a "racing" rock crawler and the king is a slow strictly "how much can it climb" type of crawler
