I need a TLT kit..and where can I get one? they're not listed on ultimate any more, and they're on backorder on hobby people. anyone know where I can grab one for the 70.00 free shipping tag?

My local hobby store has a kit for $120 and an rtr for $212

I can buy and ship if you can send the money first.

my lhs has them for $90 bucks thank god. But even they are running out

I think Tammies (sp) hobbies still has them available. The price is been boosted a bit to 89.99 with free shipping on orders over 150.00.

But yes it looks as if the 70.00 tlt kits are no longer. Too bad for that as it was an easy inexpensive way to get into the hobby. The nest level up is the Wheely King from HPI. Estimate 250.00 RTR after purchasing the needed parts to convert it to 4 wheel drive. Add a few dollars for longer links and better shocks and it has been reported to be fairly capable. Then you have the PTI crawler. Couple 100 for a roller and add electronics and go crawling.

This hobby has never really been a cheap hobby to begin with but with the discontinuation of popular inexpensive kits to use parts from making the aftermarket the only option at a higher price is pushing this hobby into elite side of the $$$ spectrum. It wil not be to much longer when you will see crawlers that could be built for less then 300 dollars costing 400+.

It is a shame really as it only pushes away the new comers due to the cost of getting into it.

Tamiya USA has discontinued them... Tamiya Japan has NOT discontinued them. Tammies Hobbies has to order from Japan, as will other places if they want to keep prices under the $100 mark.

Horizon and Tower both have the 4x4 WK listed. "thumbsup"

HMMM, funny how Tamiya USA said that Tamiya Japan had DC the TLT but now it is Tamiya USA that is the one that DC the TLT. Very intersting information.

JIA thanks for the info. I will be checking on it soon. Still a bit on the spendy side for something I plan on ripping apart anyway but hey there might be a few more odds and ends I can use from the WK then I could from the TLT.

I seen Tower had it listed but "order pending" for 209.??? I checked with my nearest hobby shop(Hobbytown USA) and they said they were not available in 4x4 but then they have been wrong before.

I just hope I get my Clod body soon so I can get to my scaleish idea. God I have to get an esc so I can finish up one thing before going on to another. Oh well.
