For the LED's, if you don't mind losing the focus and just want light, I took mine to the belt sander and shortened some as far as I could. For the back just use some black heat shrink.
BTW, Patrick's hardware looks awesome on there. I need to get me some of that stuff.
In the case of moving your LED back from the headlight bucket, ive used a couple of rubber O-rings on the base of the LED and they worked perfect. They also kept the illumination under the body to a minimum aswell.
