Topcad transmission case?

Hi guys I just purchased one as I wasn't ready to take the plunge on a vp case.. Installed the topcad case without a hitch but it sounds really crappy and loud... is this because of its cheap quality? or is it because its aluminum and no longer plastic? Anyone have this problem?

No problems with mine.
Are you sure it is the case producing noise? not gears?

I will take a look at them, I greased them with marine grease.. would this be a problem?

I've got one too and have no issues, are you sure all the gears are set and shimmed right?

I have no knowlege of shimming a transmission.. I tried going back to the plastic case and did not solve the issue... I feel like it's something I'm not doing right. The middle gear is also showing signs of minor wear but everything seems tight.
