I have seen the UTQ3 radio but was wondering if anyone here has had any luck or even tried to mix the first and third channels of the TQ3? I have done this to a degree with some mixed results. I have full time 4 wheel steering mixed in the radio with no y harness on the rig. I also have it setup where the stock third channel rocker switch now changes the steering from either regular or crab walk depending on what I want. Next I am going to put a switch in to either turn off the third channel steer or make it manual which the center of a three way momentary switch would be like off. I have been running this setup for a while and have yet to put EPA pots in it though that is high on my list. I have had no problems at all with the high torque servos and everything seems to be working well. There are a couple of things that do however bother me about this setup. For some reason it takes a little out of the servo travel which I have solved by extending the horn lengths. Next, either trim pot (1st or 3rd) will adjust both channels.

The two problems aside I have really enjoyed the setup and have had no problems as stated. Still I must warn you that before you rip into your radio and try to do this I do not advise it and it is your decision.
