Are there any stores that carry stuff like this in more than 6"x24" or 2"x96" strips? Got a couple skateboard ramps that I want to put it on and am having a hell of a time trying to find the stuff at hardware and sporting good store websites.

Try an industrial supply source or packaging source like U-Line. They carry big rolls and sheets of the grippy stuff as it's used in industrial settings...particularly in loading dock areas.

Forgot about them, aren't they just over in Downers or Naperville, or am I thinking of Grainger?

Grainger would have it too I bet.

How does someone who is working on a skateboard ramp not know where to get grip tape? :ror:

Simple, I'm about as far from a skater as you can get. These ramps were bought for use with RC trucks, and then when you throw in cold, snow, a bunch of VXL equipped 2wd traxxas trucks wearing rock hard Dirt Paws, traction goes away and hilarity begins:lmao:

Kinda glad the EVX-2 in my E-Revo let out the smoke, it would have been hard to see through frozen tears of laughter:ror:

Ended up going to a "local" Zumiez store and picked up four strips of the plain black Iron Horse Sheet Grip Tape for $21.53 (with tax), the ruler sitting in the middle is 15" long and about an inch wide and the keyboard and monitor are both around 18" wide from edge to edge.

Each strip should cover the whole ramp length wise and two should cover it width wise!

I thought about seeing if they had some with Miller High Life graphics, since they're going on ramps and all"thumbsup":ror:

We used to draw stuff on our skateboards with chalk, then give it a few coats of super strength Aqua Net to seal it on. It lasts quite a while as long as it doesn't get wet.

You should put your artistic talents to the test. "thumbsup"
