I'm jonesing to jump on the Element bandwagon. Looks like a sweet rig and I'm an old school AE racer. Deep down I want to build it, but my free time is sooo limited that the RTR seems tempting. I doubt I would keep the 1.55" tires. I already own Proline Hyrax 1.9 XL's. Will these fit the TrailWalker body with minimal trimming. If I'm gonna have to hack it up a ton then I'm thinking I will sway from the RTR. Thoughts/Experiences???

the trail Walker body has some pretty small fender openings... so big 1.9s will definitely need a lot of trimming to fit. have you considered the sendero ? it already has bigger 1.9s and is essentially the same truck with different body and bumpers

I have but I actually like the Trailwalker body. Plus the Trailwalker is on sale right now and happens to be $50 cheaper than the Sendero. I've read the TrailWalker has better bumpers because they are smaller and get caught up let. I'm sure custom parts would come in time, but its nice to get rolling with good stuff to start.

I feel ya I ran into the same dilemma... ended up with the Walker but I stayed with the small tires.... you'd be surprised just how capable it is with the little 1.55s... still an awesome rig!!!! I absolutely love mine!!

I have fit the large 1.9 proline crawler tires on my trailwalker. Of course I’ve trimmed the fender wells completed off and you will need to raise the body pins up to get it to fit. You can see them here

Nice Vid. It still looks great with the bigger tires. Thanks for sharing that. Did you just trim off the fender flair and follow that upper body line?

Little yes but don’t let that fool you. They are surprisingly very capable once you get the stock generals some good break in time. I am liking the tiny tire challenge😜
