Transfer Case Idea

The stock transfer case has some gear reduction built in. The output shaft has a 26t gear, whereas the input shaft and idler gear are 20t. It looks like someone could divorce it from the transmission, use the front of the output shaft as the input from the trans, and the rear of the shaft for the rear axle. You would need to source a new shaft for the other side (possibly just a cut down version of the output shaft) and use that as the output to the front axle, effectively giving you overdrive to the front axle...

The motor and trans would obviously have to be flipped and moved way up to the front and the output shaft would have to be drilled to fit a larger pin. Mounts would have to be fabbed up. The stock trans may be too long and/or the CMS may have to be relocated to the front.

I'm off work for a few weeks maybe I'll see what I can come up with.

I just ordered another output shaft AX31410 from RPP.

I contacted a vendor about doing something similar last week for the Ascender with one of their transfer cases.
