Transmitter shopping... I've Got Qs, thoughts? comments?

I made the switch from Futaba (4PLS) to a Noble NB4+ a while back. I don't generally buy RTRs so I don't have a huge pile of cheap radios, but I do have a couple of SCX24s and some cheap Amazon knockoffs.

Having said that, I thought it was going to be a power move... I'd be able to get receivers for 50% less than Futaba recievers, and sell the ones I have - which are now sitting in a pile with 2 4PLS radios lol... because I can never bring myself to sell anything.

NB4+ is a great radio, but IMO it has one downfall which is that there are no momentary switch options, you have to use mixing, therefore burning up channels.

I do like the new light controller 8 channel receivers though with light control on the radio, I think that's a neat advancement.

i just received my radio and receiver.
flysky FS-g7P
flysky FS-R7P.
first time i have bought such in a very long time. i read that flysky is a good brand.
but the controller feels light and sounds plastic ( yes it is).
the receiver came is a long box ( compared to the item. with just a plane white box. NO labeling as to what is inside.
did i get ripped off?
just a cheap through away version?
my thoughts are wrong?
will need both hands to work this unit. my thumb is crooked so does not reach the wheel. should be able to change that a bit.
get to wait till my ss check arrives ( auto deposit) in three weeks to buy batterie's for the optic.
have a hobbywing quick

Where did you buy the FlySky radio? FlySky is a pretty good brand these days. I like my GT-5.

It's possible to get returns, fakes, etc from Amazon. Amazon has been caught shipping fake SD cards in place of the brand name ones. I just received a Nintendo Switch game with torn cellphone and the game inside was missing. I suggest ordering from AMain Hobbies next time.

With that being said, I have no idea how that FlySky receiver comes packaged. The BS6 receivers don't come in much more than cellphone from what I remember.

Recently bought a Radiolion RC8X. Put it on the Origin for now. Will probably use it on a few other rigs before too long.
Good feel.
And for the price, its a very programmable radio. Easy for the most part to configure.
Found a 3s pack that just fits under its cover. Comes with a 2s pack.
But nice radio and can be FPV capable, which I did get, just need to get setup.

Ive not had many issues from Amazon stuff. For the most part its been pretty good.

However, I do watch where I am buying from (the seller on Amazon) and I'll avoid any that seem to be sketchy.

But getting things that Amazon warehouse is where you can really find the crappy things like used items that have been returned, wrong items in boxes etc.

Every flysky RX I've bought came in either a plastic case or a flysky branded ziploc style package - having said that, it's entirely possible that the units sent as OEM to manufacturers don't come like that, and that's what you got. If you're worried about it, return it to Amazon, and as said see what's available at Amain - use their coupons to save a little too.
