Will be traveling to Hawaii in September for vacation and will be bringing my Wraith in hopes of taking advantage of the endless rock and lava formations. My question is, has anyone flown with their lipo batteries and how did you transport them? I've heard conflicting answers from friends and decided I'd reach out to the masses and get a REAL answer. Check them or carry them on? Been told that unpressurized luggage compartment could damage them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm gonna crawl the big island no matter what, even if I gotta buy new batts there and leave em' when I go home! HELP!!!!!

The bottom of this thread has five links asking the same flight related questions. Check em out.

Don't ever take advice from the person that told you that. The luggage compartment is pressurized. If it wasn't the plane would rip apart. It's just not heated to the same level as the passenger compartment.

I've traveled with lipos before. Take them as carry on,tape the plug ends with electrical tape and put them in your lipo safe bag in a plastic bag in your carry on bag.
Lipos cannot be in checked bags.
