I'm up that direction twice per year, cottage and camping. Brought the rigs last year, but the RC shop on 31 on the southside said there was nooooo crawling going on that they knew of.
My son's and I ran on the rocks between the zoo and the city beach one afternoon.

I woudl be curious what and who you find.

Hello there, I live in Williamsburg near T.C. Would really like to hook up with some other crawlers. My only cohorts with rigs are about 3.5 hours away. Got a Venom creeper that I just started messing with, would be great to find someone with an indoor course to do a little practice. Was at Oviatt's today and he mentioned that some guys with rigs show up on sundays at the indoor carpet track out by chums corners. Maybe I'll see some of you there.

Just have to relocate the k-5 to make some room! Then if Lance makes a course we'll have a north, south, and a west!"thumbsup"

PM Mathala, he has a new Honcho/K5 he's looking to beat up. A few of those guys have been going to a new hobby shop over in Gaylord, it has a small indoor rockcourse. I talked to him today, he seemed pretty pumped and said the shop is real nice.

They have a few rocks laying in the back room...... far from anything I would call a course.

The sun has melted the snow off lots of the local spots here. Nothing yet down that away?

Found a trailing spot in Traverse City this weekend. The kids wanted to bring a rig along, but would not fit with all the camping gear.

This one is near the shops in the old State Mental Hospital.
Stay to the left as you go in, and head around back. It is on a little trail right at the Underground Cheesecake Company.
Not sure how far the creek goes back with good trailing, but the first 40-50 yards looked fun.

BTW, if you like peanut butter and chocolate, get a slice of the "OH MY" cheesecake :lmao:

I know a few guys from Traverse that are huge into scalers and SC, they are not on RCC that much though.

Damn seems not much has happened since way back when i posted the first post for this. Looking at a Wraith now, my buddy in Florida just picked one up and it looks like a good rig.. Dont have anything now but my Little Losi Mini Crawler :( sucks..

Need to focus on the rc10 and do some indoor racing. Not sure if there is a track around here any more.

Hit CD's in Kalkaska, they had eight heats today. Lots of racing going on there and more to come with winter coming soon. Chris, the owner and his family have a really nice indoor set up and on site hobby shop. You may find some people to run scale trucks with. Never the less, this is one of the nicest indoor tracks in the state......and everyone is really nice. "thumbsup" one of my favorite places to race at.

Great info Jeff.. Let me know if you're headed up there some time. I have the B4.2 ready to go and am looking for a 2wd short course truck to run.
Not sure how much crawling we will be doing this winter if Larry's is out on us crawling.
