are you sure its a 3pos switch? it could be a 2pos switch..
anyways, if its a computered radio, like a DX3R, go through your settings and see if you can change the button arrangement. that could be the problem

You will need an adapter to use that 3 position switch as an actual 3 position switch. If you are interested, I make one. It is called

You can mod the 2.4 TQ4 so that you can use the the toggle switch to control a winch.
You switch channels 3 and 4. Channel 4 is not 3 position capable. Channel 3 is.
Open the case and find where the 2 wires from each of the switches connect to a board in the base of the radio. Unsolder them and switch them around so that the toggle switch is wired to where the rocker switch was and vice-versa.
Now the toggle will control channel three and the rocker will control channel 4. I did this mod for my Axial TR with a Summit trans. I needed the three positions for my winch, and I use the rocker switch for shifting the trans.

i knew the 2pos swith could be moded but wanted it to stay stock looking so i was gunna wire ch3 to the 3pos
that way you posted is much cleaner that how i was gunna do it too :lmao:

May not be the a radio mod but I thought I saw a HeyOK harness to be able to use the 2 position switch for a winch.

I have been using my tq for years that I took apart and re soldered the wires to switch the channels around and it is extremely easy to do. if need be I can take my controller apart and snap some pics. just let me know "thumbsup"
