traxxas servo?

I dont know how strong a stock TMaxx servo is, but im guessing it would probably not be enough for rock crawling. Id say you would want at least 100 oz/in. - thats the bare minimum, the more the better.
Im running Hitec 995s now, they can get 400 oz/in. but are pretty pricey.

Look at the TowerPro MG945 or TowerPro MG995
They should be pretty strong and should only be $15-$20

If you mean the 2055, no.. That's nowhere near enuff poop for a Cod... That servo only squeaks out like 83oz./in. I use an HS-645MG and that's just enuff to swing my wheels now.. I need more, I think now, but, the 645MG will do for the time being...

I use a 2055 as the steering servo in my TT-01 drift car with good results tho'... But I wouldn't use it in a Clod.. MAYBE as a rear steer but not for the main steering... You need a lot more tweak than that...

The Traxxas servo isn't strong enough to use on a crawler, even on rear steer. There are a few vendors here that sell the Tower Pro 995 and the 945.I have each and like the 945 better.

I've never tried a tmaxx servo on a fish... it might work. ;-)

Oh.. I donno if it would, man... You seen some of the ling cod that gets pulled out of the water here? Some could swallow a divers head, gear and all...

The 2055 MIGHT help with the babies, but not the big cod that I like to deep fry and eat... heh

And, of course, trust you to find the spelling error and make light of it... heh I never even noticed taht...

Is the tmaxx servo strong enough for cod steering, if not what is a great servo for little dough?

Bryce

NO, I wouldn't even use this on a 2.2 TLT steering...weak and very poorly made. TowerPro or HiTec as others have said are good.

Run2jeepin sells the TowerPros in the Vendor Section here on RCCrawler!
