Alot of people sell these but are they any good? They are the cheap way out for a 3 position switch, but they arn't 2.4Gh. Are they still good even though there not 2.4Gh? I would only use it for crawling so distance away from the car isn't a big problem.

I use my Tqi 3 from my summit in my axial scx10. However I still have yet to figure out how to wire the 3 way switch to actually work as a 3 way switch. It's programmed for ch. 4 and ch.5. I called traxxas they said yes it can be done but wouldn't tell me how since the 3racig winch is not a traxxas product. I do like the remote though its even better with the iPhone base. Try and get the Tqi though since it is 2.4ghz

I've used one for a few years on my SCX. I added a push button to use with the factory 3rd channel toggle switch...works really good for the rear steer.

To me the draw back is the antenna. This wasnt a factor until I built a full roll cage...now it glitches like crazy around all the metal (at least, I think that is the issue). I'm looking forward to upgrading, but this well be my youngest daughters TX next"thumbsup"

Thanks for replying guys like a lot of us I don't have a pot of gold so I think I'll give it ago I can get one for $40 modded so no worries if I chuck it away one day.

I've been running the same tq3 for 8 years or so. I replaced the 3rd channel switch with a steering potentiometer off of another traxxas radio for rear steer. I use it on one of my ax's to operate the VP dig. I've been thinking of swapping the potentiometer out for a 3 way switch with resistors on it to do the same thing without the wheel.

I will end up with a hacked gt3c one of these days though and the tq3 will get retired...
