traxxass forum

I've never been on the traxxas forum but been on other forums and this is by far the best place on the interwebs! Everyone is friendly and the experience and knowledge around here is second to none in my opinion.

Offline ?

Hang up and Drive
Does it have a lot of downtime? I either get a 403 error (with a Traxxas page stating the below) or a 404 with a blank, white 404 page.

"We're Sorry
It appears you do not have correct access for viewing this or you ended up in the wrong place.

If you feel this is in error, please feel free to contact us.

Maybe all the mean things Mike said hurt their feelings. So, they had to pack up their forum and go home.

Looks like they're doing some site maintenance, or trying to. lol

They are offline erratically .... I wonder if all my axial pictures there caused an issue.......

:lmao:

I think it's funny that you can talk about pretty much any company over there except that they censor HobbyKing and Turnigy. :lmao:

And we "build" our chit.
I'm not a snob that looks down on new RCers. A lot of younger builders get into RC via RTR. Nothing wrong with that. Better to have a market of RTR RCs rather than no RCs at all.

That's just because Turnigy has flat out copied some of Traxxas' hardware.

Eh, as you know I am often there. It is ok, but it does take some getting used to. I think I still hold the record for the most threads being closed and deleted by the mods, I don't take it personal.

Just like any forum, it has its high points and low points, and to be there you have to get used to that particular community. The biggest thing that would make my eye twitch is people posting without doing any kind of search for a topic, or even looking just a couple of posts down. But, it is accepted there, and I have just let it go as a quirk of the site.

I have noticed lately that some non-Traxxas threads have been allowed to go unchecked. I know a lot of us have posted up our non-Traxxas scale rigs on the TRX4 subforum, it was all in context with the topic of the thread (winches and such), but it is normally something the mods squash.

I didn't know that Traxxas products were copied by HobbyKing. Do you know of an example offhand?

I don't recognize your username (I have a horrible, horrible memory), but I will look for you!

When I got back into RC about 10 years ago the Traxxas forum was one of the few I frequented. There weren't many bashing RC forums back then and now there appear to be even less. I only signed back into the Traxxas forum because I picked up my Raptor/Slash for the Mudboss project.

Uh, what? Just went and looked at your thread started history, and none other than the 15 day old FS ads were deleted, all the way back to 2005. You deleted one in Electronics and the reason you gave was, "Too many retards".

Lmao. I mentioned a Turnigy Trackstar esc combo in the Traxxas forum and they sensored both words.. even Trackstar. Yea the Admins. are complete prudes, I would show you all a screen shot of an infraction from the Traxxas Aton section, where I was hit for sensoring my own curse word.. "Sh**", but can't pull up the message because the forum is down I guess. Watch out for that guy DoubleG.. total prude

Traxxas forums Pee Pee !

Oh.

Prude is a girl that doesn't wanna make out in 5th grade. :ror:

prude/pro͞od/
noun
a person who is or claims to be easily shocked by matters relating to sex or nudity.

I've gotten warned there before about some inane stuff, but I think the funniest thing that happens there is when people post questions and someone will respond with a completely unrelated picture of their truck. I'm always hesitant to bring up aftermarket parts half the time because I'm not sure what's "allowed" or not at times.
