I've never been on the traxxas forum but been on other forums and this is by far the best place on the interwebs! Everyone is friendly and the experience and knowledge around here is second to none in my opinion.
What did you do to the Traxxas forum, Mike? It's gone! :lmao:
Does it have a lot of downtime? I either get a 403 error (with a Traxxas page stating the below) or a 404 with a blank, white 404 page.Offline ?

I'm not a snob that looks down on new RCers. A lot of younger builders get into RC via RTR. Nothing wrong with that. Better to have a market of RTR RCs rather than no RCs at all.And we "build" our chit.

I think it's funny that you can talk about pretty much any company over there except that they censor HobbyKing and Turnigy. :lmao:
I didn't know that Traxxas products were copied by HobbyKing. Do you know of an example offhand? That's just because Turnigy has flat out copied some of Traxxas' hardware.
Eh, as you know I am often there. It is ok, but it does take some getting used to. I think I still hold the record for the most threads being closed and deleted by the mods, I don't take it personal.
Just like any forum, it has its high points and low points, and to be there you have to get used to that particular community. The biggest thing that would make my eye twitch is people posting without doing any kind of search for a topic, or even looking just a couple of posts down. But, it is accepted there, and I have just let it go as a quirk of the site.
I have noticed lately that some non-Traxxas threads have been allowed to go unchecked. I know a lot of us have posted up our non-Traxxas scale rigs on the TRX4 subforum, it was all in context with the topic of the thread (winches and such), but it is normally something the mods squash.

Traxxas forums Pee Pee !
... where I was hit for sensoring my own ...
I think the funniest thing that happens there is when people post questions and someone will respond with a completely unrelated picture of their truck.
