the story about this chassis
i've been looking for an original vintage tamiya bruiser or mountaineer for a long time now but didn't find any satisfying offer. suddenly, i saw quite a cheap 'buy now' auction of rc4wd's bruiser chassis in the big bay. well, didn't know that the chassis is more or less a 'replica' of tamiya's most famous chassis until i started assembling...
had to do some body post mods to make the body fit like that, with the original body posts it would have been much higher on the chassis and the body would have been too much in front.
by the way, in the meantime, i found an original undriven bruiser and an original bruiser body. both will have to be restored and both will be shelf queens, tamiyas famous and rc4wds new chassis. will post up some pics, but will take some time...
still waiting for the original vintage bumpers and nerf bars, but quite nice at the moment i think
the car will be a shelf queen, after assembling, i thought it won't be driveable without any big suspension mods, sorry to the designer and developer...
here are some hi-res pics to enjoy
as you can see, it is the rc4wd chassis
